Restoring dignity · Transforming lives

Every life
deserves to be
treated with
dignity.

The Dignity Project is a humanitarian charity bridging communities across continents — supporting homeless youth in Atlanta and vulnerable children in Nigeria.

"Giving back is not optional. We have a responsibility to enrich our communities — because a society that ignores its vulnerable members cannot truly call itself strong."

Humanitarian work with
no borders

The Dignity Project was founded by Agboola Bankole-Hameed (AG), an American philanthropist of Nigerian heritage, based in Atlanta, Georgia. Deeply rooted in his Nigerian culture and identity, AG was inspired by watching his brother feed homeless individuals in the United States — and channeled that spirit into sustained, organized action.

We believe that compassion is not seasonal — people are struggling every single day. The Dignity Project is a global effort. While our work to date has included projects in the United States and Nigeria, our vision extends to vulnerable communities everywhere.

We are not a political organization. We are a humanitarian one. Our mission is simple: show up, show care, and never stop.

Our Founder

A.G. Bankole-Hameed

Born in America and deeply connected to his Nigerian roots, AG Bankole-Hameed grew up watching his brother feed homeless people at McDonald's in the United States. That memory never left him. Today, Agboola Bankole-Hameed leads The Dignity Project — organizing care package drives in Atlanta, donating food to children's homes in Abeokuta, Nigeria, and advocating publicly for greater government investment in vulnerable communities worldwide.

"These children are not criminals. They need support, structure, and belief. Society must not abandon them."

Programs that
restore dignity

The Dignity Project is a global humanitarian effort. Our programs to date have reached communities in the United States and Nigeria — and we are committed to expanding that reach wherever we are needed.

🤝

Atlanta Youth Outreach

In partnership with Covenant House Georgia, we create and distribute care packages to homeless young adults in Atlanta. Each package contains hygiene essentials and a handwritten card from our volunteers — small gestures that carry enormous weight.

Nigeria Children's Home Support

We conduct charity outreaches and food donations at the Stella Obasanjo Children's Home in Abeokuta, Ogun State. We provide meals, call for increased government investment in vulnerable children, and plan to return regularly — because this is not a one-off gesture.

"These young people will take over the future of this country."

Advocacy & Policy

Beyond direct service, The Dignity Project advocates at the civic and national level. We call on governments to allocate budgets for homeless youth, children with disabilities, and families living on the margins — because sustainable change requires systemic investment.

Community Mobilization

We engage religious institutions, private organizations, and individuals to participate in acts of sustained kindness. We believe philanthropy is not optional — it is a responsibility. We train and inspire community members to look out for those around them every day, not just during celebrations.

Community-wide

How it
all
began

Every great act of service begins with a memory. For AG Bankole-Hameed, it was watching his brother in America quietly feed homeless strangers at a fast-food restaurant. No fanfare. Just humanity.

That memory became a mission.

The Beginning

A seed planted in America

Growing up, A.G. watched his brother regularly feed homeless people at McDonald's in the United States. The act of quiet generosity stayed with him long after, planting a belief that service is personal — and permanent.
